i know i know i know just what you wanna hear i know i know i know that it’s nothing but the truth and I will sing it back to you if you want me to i crash i crash i crash like the waves at dawn and i will right all your wrongs easier said than done i’ll go i’ll go i’ll go if you want me to oh! i’ll stay i’ll stay i’ll stay until i melt with the hues but i look best in blue i’ll put it on for you!

Always early, sometimes late I try so hard to be complacent To God’s guiding hand But I fuck shit up again Who am I to make amends When it’s easy just to be a friend To nothing or nobody Nothing to no one I know I tried to make a change I thought I’d move away I thought of nothing but the blood Spilling from my veins But now watch the news Just to talk of the weather Yeah, I should drink more water Cause I wanna get better

about

Basically, these are not good but who gives a shit! They are fun and I wanna share some of my musical growth n journey with anyone who actually cares!

In the spring, I had announced an album that I inevitably pushed back. And then of course, in the midst of recording, I spilled cranberry juice all over Mac. Those songs were the only things not in the cloud, so I had to start over. This was really a blessing in disguise bc I’m not entirely ready to complete it. The spirit of the songs is hopeful, conveying a sense of overcoming fear and lingering regrets. Right now, I’m too focused on new challenges to sit and reflect on the old ones. BUT as a promise to myself and the fans that I WILL be releasing Grasping at Straws eventually here are some demos that I found on my phone. They are literally rough sketches. The vocals are bad. I’m exposing the fact that I can’t really play guitar. But the lyrics are set in stone and the spirit of the record is very much there. Conveniently, they are also they first two songs on the album. “just ask!” is one of my favorites ever and has so much potential (if I can recall how to play it). It’s really like the thesis for the whole album. “Dig Yr Own Grave” is the only heavy song I’ve ever been able to produce. I tried to scream at the end, but then I got scared and just wailed a bit.
